Ben’s Guide to Government - This site is packed full of resources to learn more about our country.  Choose the JOURNEYPERSON tab for age-appropriate information and games.  This site also includes links to more resources.

Britannica School -DeKalb's go-to fact-checked encyclopedia for research.  Explore thousands of articles, biographies, videos, images, and more.

Gale Resources - Nonfiction Databases include: Biographies, Contemporary Authors, Health & Wellness, Virtual Reference Library, INDIANA HISTORY, Military and Intelligence, Science in Context, Small Business Resources, TESTING, and Education Resource Center.  (Practice SAT, ACT, AP, ASVAB & more) See your librarian for the username and password.

Inspire (K-12) - This site includes full-text magazine and journal articles, websites, pamphlets, images, almanacs, full-text historic newspapers, multimedia, library catalogs, and more.  Users can narrow results by Lexile, search databases by subject, then choose & search through the Student Research Center.  

NBC Learn - Access thousands of high-quality archival, original, and current events videos through the Indiana Department of Education.  This site is for use in classroom instruction, student projects, and homework.

Newspaper.com (You need to be at DMS to use this site.) This site has over 3,400 US Newspapers 1700's-2000's.  More added daily.

Opposing Viewpoints - This site is a good resource for assisting in argumentative writing.  It provides full-text access to all viewpoints of current hot topics and social issues.  It is easy to use basic and advanced search, spotlighted articles, browse by category, find videos, facts, statistics, and more.  The information is from news, magazines, academic journals, primary sources, and websites.  

TrueFlix (Grades 3-8) (Science) Explore People, Places, History, Science, & Nature using videos, images, web-links, & read-along books.

Lightbox Learning - This site provides digital books with audio narration, videos, weblinks, quizzes, activities, maps, and infographics. It covers social studies, math, science, language arts, and sports topics.
