Lady Patriot Basketball!
      The 7th grade Lady Patriots ended their season Monday night with a 43-18 loss in the second round of the NHMLC tournament. Leigha Brown led the Patriots in scoring with 10, while Maddie Ring and Allison Marlowe both added 4 apiece. Brown led the team in rebounds, pulling down 8. Brown also led the team in steals with 4, followed by Kelsey Wilson and Ring with 3 apiece. Great season ladies!

       The 7th grade Lady Patriots beat Indian Springs Saturday 26-7 to advance to the second round of the NHMLC tournament. Leading the Patriots in scoring was Leigha Brown with 10. Allison Marlowe and Alexis Waligora both added 5. Maddie Ring scored 4 and Lexy Stuckey added 2. Waligora led the team in rebounds with 6. Brown led the team in assists with 7. The 7th grade will play Maple Creek at Indian Springs Monday at 5:00.

        The 8th grade Lady Patriots lost to Indian Springs Saturday, 30-16, completing their season  with a 9-7 record. Alyson Noye led the team in scoring with 11. Hannah Ring added 3 and Jessica Schamper added 2. Ring led the team in steals with 5. Great season 8th grade!

        The 7th grade Lady Patriots fell to East Noble Thursday night, 42-15. Leigha Brown led the Patriots in scoring with 5, while Kelsey Wilson and Maddie Ring both added 4. Allison Marlowe added two. Marlowe led the team in rebounds with 4. 

        The 8th grade Lady Patriots lost 48-31 to a very tough East Noble team in a well fought out battle Thursday night. As hard as the Patriots played, they could not overcome the Knights. Raegan Cox led the Patriots in scoring with 11, Jessica Schamper added 9, Hannah Ring and Alyson Noye both added 4 points, and Jordan Whan added 3. Noye led the team in assists with 5. The Patriots played a great game and should be very proud of themselves. 

         Both Patriot teams had a great regular season and are now gearing up for the conference tournament. They host Indian Springs Saturday to open up conference play. The 7th grade game will begin at 10 with the 8th grade game immediately following.  Admission is $3 for all conference tournament games. Come on out and help rally the girls as we compete to bring home the trophy!

Boys' Basketball!

DeKalb 7th grade boys’ basketball team advanced to the semi-finals of the NHMLC boys’ basketball tournament by defeating Woodside Middle School 45-24 last night.  The Patriots improved their record to 10-6 on the season.  Logan Kruse led the Patriots with 14 points and Colin Goebel added 10 points.  Alec Brunson chipped in with 8 and Boone Bacon had 4 points.  Troy Hickman, Connor Western, Jared Reutebuch, and Marshall Beard all had 2 points.  Nic Graber finished the scoring by adding a point.  DeKalb will play at Carroll on Thursday night against Maple Creek Middle School.

DeKalb 8th grade boys’ basketball team lost to the semi-finals of the NHMLC boys’ basketball tournament to Woodside Middle School 40-30 last night.  DeKalb finished its season with 10-7 record.  Zach Frane led the Patriots with 10 points and Mason Wengert added 8 points.  Jay Krebs chipped in with 6 and Brandon Dunham had 3 points.  Cooper Grambling had a 2 points and Colton Ruby finished the scoring with 1 point.
