7th and 8th Grade Girls' Basketball Press Release!

7th Grade Girls' Basketball
The 7th grade Lady Patriots pulled out their first win of the season against Summit Thursday night, 34-24. The Patriots played aggressively and crashed the boards, pulling down 29 rebounds for the night, and sealing their victory. Leading the Patriots in scoring was Brooke- destinee Lockwood with 11; Hannah McAfee with 10; Bethany Lancaster with 5; Kyrsten Butler, Jordan Stayer, Bethany Kelley, and Shaina Ehmke all added two for the win. Lockwood led the team in rebounds with 8, followed by Sidney Gerig with 5.
8th Grade Girls' Basketball
The 8th grade Lady Patriots lost to a tough Summit team Thursday night, 26-54. The Patriots struggled against the Falcon ball pressure and just couldn't seem to get position to rebound the ball. Leading the Patriots in scoring were Madison Ring, Leigha Brown, and Allison Marlowe with 8 points each. Alexis Waligora added two. 

Both Patriot teams are in action Saturday December 14 when they host a tournament at DeKalb High School. The 7th grade begins action at 9:50when they play a tough Norwell team, and the 8th grade begins action at12:30 when they take on Norwell as well. Afternoon games begin at 1:50. Admission for the morning session (8AM- 1 PM) is $5 with  the afternoon session (1PM- 7PM) being $3. Come on out for a great day of basketball. No matter which game you watch, it's bound to be exciting!
