7th Grade Science
Shake, rattle, and roll!! Seventh grade students used their knowledge of earthquakes to build earthquake proof structures… using only spaghetti, mini marshmallows, normal marshmallows, and masking tape! Students worked in groups of four to design and construct their towers over a 3 day time span. The main discovery: there is a very fine line between flexibility and stability needed to withstand an earthquake. Did your student’s tower survive?
