DeKalb Middle School hosted Student Focus on Health Wednesday. Students visited health-check stations and a health education exhibit and participated in health checks such as blood pressure, visual acuity, flexibility and height and weight. Community resources and agencies participated in the event, which encourages young people to take personal responsibility and an active role in making healthy choices. Eighth-graders Seirra Mearing, left, and Haley Myers, right, are shown administering a flexibility test to sixth-grader Kalyn Heffley.
