On Thursday the Lady Patriot soccer team traveled to Summit for their 3rd game in four nights. Fatigue had set in, but the Lady Patriots battled through and got a hard fought 3-1 victory. Alyssa Wells opened the scoring when she made a great defensive stop and carried the ball into space. Wells took a shot from about 25 yards out which slipped under the goalie for a 1-0 lead. Minutes later the Patriots got a rush up the sidelines as Madysen Snyder dribbled the ball deep into the corner and sent a cross through the box. 4 Patriots crashed the net hard and Kendra Boyce was able to collect the ball and one time a shot into the back of the net for a 2-0 lead. Towards the end of the half the Patriots were awarded a free kick from about 45 yards out. Baylee Honn fired the shot that went straight into the back of the net. 3-0 was the halftime score in favor of the Lady Patriots. Summit scored with just under 15 minutes to go in the game to make it 3-1 and that was it! The patriots are 4-0-1 to start the season and have a tough test next week against Carroll on Tuesday and at Home against Woodside on Thursday
