Girls' Track and Field Press Release!

The DeKalb Middle School Girls Track Team won the NHMLC Track Meet on Saturday, May 10, 2014 at New Haven High School.  The girls have not won the conference meet since 1998-1990 (15 years) season.  a collective effort by all of the athletes helped lead the Lady Patriots to edge out Maple Creek by 5 1/2 points to earn the win. Many of the Lady Patriots ended their season with personal best runs, jumps, and or throws.  Placing for the Patriots were:
2nd Place:
Morgan Spade:  100 meter hurdles 17.79
Tyler Schwartz 1600 meter ( 5:29.06 breaking her own school record) and 800 meter 2:30.75
Grace Gorman: High Jump 4'8"
Maddy Day: Discuss 84'7"
3rd Place:
Bethany Kelley:  400 meter 65.95
Bethany Kelley, Claire Comfort, Tyler Schwartz, and Lauren Beckmann:  4 X 400 meter relay 4:34.16
4th Place:
Lauren Beckmann: 1600 meter 5:36.88
Bethany Kelley: Long Jump 14'4"
5th Place:
Maddy Day:  Shot Putt 26'9"
6th Place:
Allison Marlowe:  100 meter hurdles 19.0
Bethany Kelley 100 meter 14.33
Brooke Lockwood:  High Jump 4'6"
Grace Gorman:  Long Jump 13' 7 1/4"
Allison Marlowe:  Shot Putt 26' 8"
Seirra Fike:  Pole Vault 5' 6"
Sarah Fetter: 800 meter 2:36.89
8th Place:
Abigail Lynch, Jordan Stayer, Emily Parks, and Brooke Lockwood:  4 X 100 meter relay 50.05
