Last night the DeKalb Middle School Varsity Girls' Track Team defeated Maple Creek and Norwell by a score of Maple Creek 52.5\- Norwell 27 and DeKalb 56.5. This will puts the Lady Patriots at 10-1 for the season while also giving Maple Creek their first loss of the season. The girls that placed first for the Patriots were Morgan Spade with 100 meter hurdles, Tyler Schwartz with 1600 meter and 800 meter, Bethany Kelley with 400 meter and Long Jump, and Allison Marlowe with Shot Putt. Bethany Kelley, Claire Comfort, Lauren Beckmann, and Sarah Fetter with 4 x 400 meter relay. The girls that placed second for the Patriots were Bethany Kelley with 100 meter, Lauren Beckmann with 1600 meter and 800 meter, and Maddie Day with Shot Putt and Discus. The girls that placed third for the Patriots were Allison Marlowe with 100 meter hurdles, Sarah Fetter with 800 meter, Grace Gorman with High Jump, and Seirra Fike with Pole Vault. The girl that placed fourth for the Patriots was Shaina Ehmke with Shot Putt and Discus. The Patriots will end their season this Saturday at New Haven High School when they participate in the NHMLC Conference Track Meet. Field Events begin 10:00 with running events following at 10:30.
