News from the Eighth Grade P.E. Classes!

The 8th grade Physical Education Classes were putting the components of fitness of  balance and speed to the test during their recent Roller Skating Unit.  After 2 days of instruction, PE teacher, Jamie Curtis, noticed how "awesome" the skill level was of some of her students so she decided, along with Math teachers Vickie Beerman and Tony Oneal to put their abilities to the test.  The PE students" skated for speed" while the Math students timed individual skaters and analyzed the data their collected during each timed skate.  The math students did conversions of Feet Per Second to Miles Per Hour while figuring out and analyzing just how "far and fast" each skater was moving.  It was a blast
