DeKalb vs. Garrett vs. East Noble – Varsity Track & Field Results

The DeKalb Middle School Boys' Varsity track and field team won a triangular meet last night at Garrett, defeating both Garrett Middle School and East Noble Middle School. The final score was DeKalb 53 points, Garrett 52 points, and East Noble 32 points. DeKalb’s first place finishers were Josiah Somkit in the 110M Hurdles, Lukaas Roller in the 200 M Hurdles, Dion Urbina in both the shot put and the discus, and the 4x400 M Relay team of Hunter Jack, Trever Meyer, Jon Bell, and Bryce Handshoe. Second place finishers for the Patriots were Bryce Handshoe in the 400 M Dash, Matt Anderson in the 800 M Run and Evan Moriarity in the Shot Put. Third Place finishers for the Patriots were Cole Althouse in the 110 M Hurdles, Austin Johnson in the 100 M Dash, Matt Anderson in the 1600 M Run, Trever Meyer in the 400 M Dash, Evan Moriarity in both the 200 M Run and the High Jump, Josiah Somkit in the Discus, and Seth Knepper in the 200 M Hurdles. Fourth place finishers for DeKalb were Dempsey Stafford in the 200 M Dash, Austin Johnson in the Shot Put, and Hunter Jack in the High Jump. The Patriots will be back in action on April 23rd as they travel to New Haven to take on both New Haven and Woodside.
