Student Council
Student Council
The purpose of DeKalb Middle School’s Student Council is to promote school spirit, give students a voice, and support the overall well-being of our school community. Student Council helps create a sense of belonging at DMS by encouraging students to get involved, celebrate our school, and serve others.
Members grow as leaders by organizing events, planning activities, and leading service projects that reflect the values of our school—collaboration, perseverance, empathy, and integrity. These opportunities allow students to strengthen important life skills while making a meaningful difference in their school.
Leadership roles include a Student Body President, Senators elected from each grade level, and Representatives elected from every homeroom. Elections are held at the beginning of the school year, ensuring all students have the chance to participate and have their voices heard.
