Creative Drama 1
This semester course enables students to begin to use movement and language effectively to create characterizations in a wide variety of contexts. A focus on individual creativity and improvisation enables them to demonstrate an understanding of the concepts of space, time, and mannerisms in character portrayals. Students will acquire the skills necessary to be comfortable speaking in front of a group using a clear strong voice. Additionally, students explore beginning, short script/story writing based on personal experience and imagination for the purpose of performance. Opportunities to contribute ideas and work with members of the musical crew may also be available.
