Creative Drama 2

Creative Drama 2 – 6/7/8- Semester (Creative Drama 1 is a prerequisite)—(Stage Craft counts as a pre-requisite)

Students in Creative Drama 2 use movement and language effectively to create characterizations in a larger variety of contexts than beginning level Creative Drama. A higher level of creativity and improvisation expectations will enable them to demonstrate a deeper understanding of the concepts of space, time, and mannerisms in character portrayals. Students will be expected to speak alone more frequently in front of a group using a clear strong voice and will write longer scripts and stories based on personal experience, imagination, history, and literature for the purpose of performance. Opportunities to contribute ideas and work with members of the musical crew may also be available.
