Advanced Culinary Arts

In this semester course, students will take a deep dive into the many facets of restaurant management and food preparation. Students will enjoy a hands-on, real-life application and activities designed to provide students with an early experience of several vocational opportunities. Emphasis will be placed on nutrition and wellness, careers in the hospitality industry, and food preparation and service. Prerequisites: Students must have already taken either FACS 6 or FACS 7. Students must also seek a teacher recommendation. Students will prepare meals for staff, parents, and community members.
